WHO IS TRIXIE AND WHY IS SHE BAKING?
Trixie may be my "nom de brownie", but yes, I'm a real live gal with a serious chocolate addiction. I went to live in Argentina for a bit and was happily drowning in their national sweet, dulce de leche caramel, but my chocolate cravings were unfulfilled. So I did what any proud chocoholic would do - I started baking my own super fudgy brownies and plying my friends full of them. When I got back to the states, I just kept going and TrixieBakes was born.
WHAT'S SO SPECIAL ABOUT TRIXIEBAKES BROWNIES AND BLONDIES?
Flavor - flavor - flavor (that's the baker's version of location - location - location ). You know how there's a dark chocolate revolution going on? Well I wanted to bring to brownies what other people were bringing to chocolate bars - sophisticated deep dark chocolate taste. I ended up with a cross between a brownie and a flourless chocolate cake. And I couldn't stop at just brownies. Blondies deserved their rightful place at the table too, so I created the richest chewiest version I could think of.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
TrixieBakes is in the fabulous but often rainy city of Seattle Washington. 10 months out of the year, staying warm and dry by baking brownies in a hot kitchen ain't so bad. During the 2 months we call summer, it's hard to balance beach time with baking time, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
CAN I SEND TRIXIEBAKES BROWNIES AND BLONDIES AS GIFTS?
Does it rain in Seattle? Is Vegas the land of neon? Did the Boston Red Sox break the curse of the Bambino when they won the world series in 2004? Gifts are our specialty! You'll score big points (yes, brownie points) when you send TrixieBakes brownies and blondies to your family, friends, clients, customers, co-workers and pretty much anyone.
CAN I ADD A NOTE INSIDE THE BOX?
Absolutely! During the checkout process, just before you enter your payment info, there's a nice big text box where you can write a custom message. Great place to say "Happy birthday" or "I love you shnookums" or write a mini dissertation on the merits of anti-oxidants in dark chocolate.
HOW LONG WILL MY BROWNIES LAST?
Got willpower? Well that makes one of us. If you can resist devouring them immediately, stick them in the fridge for up to four weeks or the freezer for up to four months. They thaw out quickly and still have as much intense to-die-for flavor as the day they arrived.
WHAT'S THE SCOOP WITH SHIPPING?
I'd love nothing better than to send you brownies for free. Who doesn't love free? But for now, you'll have to settle for paying actual USPS Priority Mail rates. They'll arrive 2 to 3 days from the time they ship.
DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
I aspire to global domination, but for now it's U.S. mailing addresses only.
WHEN WILL I GET MY ORDER?
I *love love love* instant gratification so I get that you want it now. Patience grasshopper while I add you to the baking schedule. I'll ship them out within 5 days of receiving your order - usually sooner.
IS MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION SECURE THROUGH THIS SITE?
Heck ya! Your credit card information is protected with a secure SSL Certificate that encrypts all of your transactions through my site with industry-standard secure sockets layer (SSL) technology. Doesn't that sound official? Trust me - your credit card and personal information are protected.
DO I HAVE TO REGISTER AND SIGN IN TO PURCHASE PRODUCTS?
Heck no!. You can browse the store and purchase delicious things without registering. Once you have added a product to your cart and clicked the Checkout button, you can choose to register or continue shopping as a guest. I'm all in favor of registering because you can view your account history and set up a list of contacts and addresses, all in a fully-secured environment protected by SSL technology.

No Holds Bars: TrixieBakes Brownies and Blondies
Some hoover down SnackWells and rice cakes with no care for calorie count but foolishly avoid decadent desserts. (You know who you are.)
We prefer to skip gateway goodies and hit the hard stuff.
TrixieBakes's Jill Hamada lovingly makes dense brownies and blondies using premium natural ingredients in certifiably sassy combos. But it's her use of dark chocolate that's causing us cravings.
The brownies-with-a-'tude include Dulce de Lecherous (marbled caramel), Juiced Up (orange zest), Nut-orious (walnut laden), and In the Dark (pure, rich chocolate). A Blonde Bombshell with pecans is the lone noncocoa option.
Divvy up the calories with friends via gift packs or sink your teeth into all five flavors yourself.
Who's counting?

Brownie Revolution Born in Argentina Takes Root in Seattle: TrixieBakes Spurs Uprising for All-Natural Dark Chocolate Brownies
Seattle, WA, June 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- What did Argentines do for a chocolate fix before Trixie tangoed into Buenos Aires? The dulce de leche-loving nation simply wasn't aware of what they were missing until the chocoholic started satiating her yearning for high-quality chocolate by baking up brownie perfection for her friends.
After starting the revolution, Trixie returned home to Seattle and devoted herself to the cause of great brownies for everyone: all-natural, dense and intensely flavored, available throughout the US via www.trixiebakes.com as well as at several Seattle locations including the Madrona Farmer's Market, Pauline Pastry Shop and Flying Squirrel Pizza Co.
Fueled by a constant sugar rush, Trixie spends her days meeting the movement's demands for batches of In the Dark (original dark chocolate), Juiced Up (orange), Nut-orious (walnuts) and Dulce de Lecherous (caramel). For those who prefer their treats chocolate-free, Trixie makes an intoxicating Blonde Bombshell (brown sugar and pecans).
What does the Trixie doctrine entail? Brimming with sass, the quick-witted straight-shooter rules using only the best ingredients: heavy on the premium dark chocolate (no cocoa powder for Trixie) and light on the flour and sugar. Preservatives are not welcome in Trixie's brownie revolution. So leave the dry cakes, boring cookies, and old candy bars behind; Trixie is actively recruiting true believers of "I deserve something fabulous" at www.trixiebakes.com.
Arm yourself with gift packs of four, eight and twelve from www.TrixieBakes.com or seize sizable singles that pack a wallop from Seattle locations.
